Product Description

The Psychological Type Indicator (PTI) is a carefully crafted personality measure that is designed to give individuals guidance about their psychological (Jungian) type using the sixteen types (INTJ, ENTP, etc.) first presented by Carl Jung.  The focus of the PTI is on providing individuals, their managers, and those who train them with an understanding of personality and its effect on performance both inside the workplace and beyond.

Type indicator questionnaires (such as the MBTI®, JTI, and PTI), based on Jung’s psychology, have been designed to measure the attitudes and functions of the individual’s personality to determine their personality type based upon four dimensions. These four tiers are:  Extroversion (E) - Introversion (I) Sensing (S) - Intuition (N) Thinking (T) - Feeling (F) Judging (J) - Perceiving (P)  Each of the four preferences is symbolised by its first letter (except for iNtuition, which is symbolised by the letter “N” to avoid confusing it with Introversion). The combination of the four preferences give a possible 16 combinations of personality type, e.g., ESTP, INFJ, ENFP, etc.

The Psychological Type Indicator (PTI) is an assessment of Jungian Type that has been designed to help individuals find the type that most closely matches their preferences.  Based on this information, individuals can begin to understand themselves, and how they relate to others. It is not designed as a labelling tool, rather as a way to provide insight into how and why people operate differently and how to celebrate and overcome these disparities.
